Corporate Silliness

With regal elegance, we present to you an exemplary exhibition of unparalleled uselessness

These days it seems we all feel the need to find purpose in everything we do.

Kiki Gotaway agrees that purpose is a positive thing, but if our purpose is always found somewhere other than in the doing itself (which is most often the case), we risk ending up living a meta-life, where nothing we do has any meaning if it doesn't serve a “higher” purpose.

To prove our point: the modern person works to realize his/her/their potential and does sports to perform better in other aspects of life. The modern person walks in order to relax - in nature, off course, in order to heal, reads novels to become a better leader etc. You can continue the list if you like, the point is: Most often, things need to be of use and actions need to be of benefit to fit our idea of a true purpose.

To counterbalance this trend, Kiki Gotaway has introduced corporate silliness, the occasional practice of the fine art of being silly for no particular reason, except for the joy of engaging in silliness.

Luckily we don’t stand alone. This is also a sport for Royals! (in fact, you might remember that HRH Queen Margrethe encouraged all Danes to practice useless actions in her New Year’s speech a couple of years back)

So in the spirit of the crown, allow us to inspire your quest for purpose with a useless example of our corporate sillies… for no particular reason.
